If you are already reasonably fit cardio kickboxing is a high impact cardiovascular workout blends elements of boxing and martial arts into a sixty minute workout that is sure to get you into much better shape then just jogging doing sit ups, push ups or any regular aerobics class. At Empire Training Center our Cardio Kickboxing classes begin with some light stretches and a cardio warm up to get your body ready for our high intensity cardio kickboxing classes. A typical workout includes a series of repetitive punches, hand strikes, kicks and other self-defense moves, interspersed with bouncing base moves.
At most schools you thrusting and kick through the air with no resistance, not at Empire Training Center. At Empire Training Center our cardio kickboxing classes are held in the heavy bag area of our gym where our heavy bags will provide you with all the resistance you need to get a full body high intensity workout from each and every class.
There
are some important factors to be considered before taking your first cardio
kickboxing class to insure it's fun, productive and safe. Here are a few
tips for anyone who would like to take cardio kickboxing classes at Empire
Training Center
Consider your current level of fitness. Don't make an aggressive martial arts program your first foray into this type of exercise program. If you have arthritis, tight hamstrings an inflexible back or other physical limitations you'll want to start in one of the slower paced classes to be sure that cardio kickboxing is going to be the right type of exercise program for your particular physical situation and abilities. Even if you think your in good shape and have been in a cross training program, take it easy until your body adapts to the new types of moves you will be performing in our classes.
If your just starting out get in Empire Training Center's beginners class where you will get an introduction to the techniques used in the more advanced classes. Learn the basic moves and do them until you feel comfortable with them, then progressively move into the more advanced classes to insure that you get the best full body workout from your cardio kickboxing classes at Empire Training Center
